On Sunday morning, I joined my sister Elaine and other members of the Winnipeg South Photo Club for a field trip to Winnipeg’s Exchange District. We meandered through the streets, taking pictures along the way. I was most drawn to the piles of leaves scattered along curbs and sidewalks… which I suppose I could have photographed anywhere, but they did look lovely against the bricked streets. If you stop to look, it really is the most amazing art piece — layers of colour, decay and random placement… impossible to match in quite the same way.
