Perspectives Gallery Show & Sale 1
My sister Elaine, our friend Laurie and I were pleased to have our Perspectives gallery show and sale at the Tiger Hills Arts Association gallery in Holland, Manitoba during the month of May, 2015. The building is a work of art in itself… full of character with its wood floor and framing and best of all, its intricate ceiling. In addition to housing different gallery shows each month, the space is home to a gift boutique… which means interesting things of all kinds for visitors to view and browse through.

AYearOnTheFamilyFarm
My sister Elaine and I had the honour of sharing our farm photo project tonight at a harvest gala co-hosted by the Manitoba Agricultural Hall of Fame and the Red River Exhibition Association. It was a really great opportunity for us to share a selection of photos and stories about our family farm. We would like to thank the organizers for inviting us to take part, and the farming community for being so welcoming and supportive.

This is just a sampling, but they came from Holland, Carman, Minnedosa, Cypress River, Winnipeg, Brandon, La Riviere, Starbuck, Glenboro, Treherne, St. Alphonse, Mariapolis… and as far away as Minneapolis, MN.

365two-Week35

This week, more gallery show work. Our deadline to get our photos off to print is coming up fast, and Elaine and I are working hard to finalize the size and placement of all our images. In addition, I’ve designed an Artist’s Statement & Bio poster and a label template for our images. Ideally all of the major work needs to be wrapped up in the next week or so (eek!). I’m feeling the stress a bit, and wondering why we thought it was a good idea to have a gallery show in the summer! It is just so tempting to be outside instead of stuck in front of the computer. Still having fun though.
